About Year 5

Welcome to Year 5. I am Miss Lipman, the Year group leader.

During the year we undertake a number of exciting IPC units which cover a broad range of topics such as; the solar system, renewable energy, living and growing as well as the art and history of different cultures around the world. We will also be exploring where our feelings and emotions come from and how they may affect us.

To support learning, we organise events and educational visits for the pupils, such as visiting a Tudor House and partaking in a video conference with The National Space Centre.

We hope your child will have a fun and hard-working year with us in Owl, Hummingbird and Robin Class! Please see our class blogs for more information.

The school’s curriculum is broad and balanced. The school provides well for pupils’ social, moral, spiritual and cultural development. British values, especially of tolerance and respect, are evident in how well pupils get on together.
